Post Pregnancy Feelings that You Should Know

The post-pregnancy period is a wildly emotional time. You’re tired, hungry, and probably still dealing with some of the physical side effects of pregnancy. And let’s be honest; your hormones are going crazy.

But while you’re still adjusting to all of these changes, there are some things no one has warned you about.

Here are common feelings many new mothers experience after pregnancy:

Doubts

You’re not alone if you’re having doubts about being a mom. You may wonder what kind of mother you’ll be, whether or not you’ll be able to get back on your feet financially, if there will be enough time for yourself and your family, and if this is all worth it.

You may wonder if you’re doing something wrong or if you should be doing something different. You might even question whether you’re good enough for this new role or if your husband will leave you.

Hypersensitivity

You might feel like everyone is staring at you or that every little thing bothers you. You might not want to touch anything or go anywhere because it reminds you of childbirth and makes your heart race again. This stage is normal, but it’s important to talk about it with your doctor, so they know what’s going on with you before things get worse.

Sadness

If there’s one emotion guaranteed to strike you during this time, it’s probably sadness. Your hormones are all over the place, especially if you had an unplanned pregnancy, so it can be challenging even for those who aren’t naturally sad.
