After an impactful program earlier this year, Toys“R”Us Canada is announcing the return of the Great Trade-In event – a national campaign targeted at removing used and potentially unsafe baby products from Canadian homes. The Great Trade-In event takes place from August 13 until August 29 at all Toys“R”Us and Babies“R”Us locations across Canada.

What inspired the Great Trade-In event?

The “Great Trade-In” event is a national program aimed at removing used and potentially unsafe baby products from Canadian homes.

What can parents do or what should they know if they can't participate in the Great Trade-in event this time around?

The Great Trade-In event runs from August 13 to August 29th.
Parents who are unable to retire their old products should save the product for the next Great Trade-In. They can also dispose the products responsibly.

What surprised you about the program the first time you implemented it?

The response we received from parents was overwhelming. Many parents were not aware of the potential harm associated with using older products. By implementing the Great Trade-In Event,
it helps call attention to the fact that certain baby products should not be handed down or resold due to potential safety issues.

What is the message you hope the event is sending and why is this so important.

The purpose of this program is to raise awareness about the potential risks and dangers of using certain baby products that should not be handed down or resold due to potential safety issues.
