I agree; I wasn't a huge fan of the ending either. I thought it ended too neatly and the issue of having a baby - which Nan seemed to really struggle with - was just easily resolved. I agree it wasn't the best book but it was a fun, easy read with some interesting food for thought regarding raising kids, and choices...

Well I thought I had posted but hadn't it seems!
So the ending. First of all, I never read the first book, but want to now! It will be odd knowing how it all ends, but it might make a few things make a bit more sense.
I was a bit surprised, but then, not at all surprised by how the book ended. I have to admit I was getting sooo frustrated with how the X's treated their kids and how they gave Nan the run around. But then, on the other hand, I kept thinking that if they are that rich, they think the world owes them everything (and maybe Grayer thought she owed him too after she "walked out" on him), so that they can simply take advantage of her.
Anyways, I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, but was happy it ended. Not my most favourite book thus far, but it was alright.
Thanks again for the chance to read it and discuss!
