Some of us are still getting our book so I don't want to post Discussion Questions just yet. Instead I thought we could write to each other a bit about what we expect from this book:
What did you think when you first learned this was our selection for January/February - were you excited because you always wanted to read this book? Do you have low or high expectations for it?
Have you read the first book and/or seen the movie based on it? If you have, how has this biased or shaped your initial thoughts?
What do you think about the fact that there are two authors? Interesting and unique isn't it!
Do you have questions for the group - as you dive into the book? If so, make sure you post them here so we can really get into this chatting thing!!!
Thank you for the book! I received it today and have just started to read it! I will try to catch up so we can discuss soon!
I've just started as well.
I am well into the first part of the book and enjoying the read so far. I am not a huge fan of chick lit like this but it does have a good storyline so far. My one complaint - it makes me feel old! I don't have a hip sense of some of the language and the references leave me confused at times, having to flip around a bit to see what the authors mean exactly. Is anyone else experiencing this? I will keep my eye out for an example of what I mean!
I didn't read the first book but I did see the movie and I enjoyed it. I am a sucker for movies and books set in New York City. It's almost a second character to me! I was a nanny myself before I taught so I do laugh at the funny and ludicrous things some people ask you to do and how little they spend with their children. I didn't realize that the two books have two different authors. Strange! I really don't know too much about this second book or if it even follows the same family? I think it should be a nice light fun easy read.
