We’ve been out of diapers for three years. In the past several weeks, however, we have once again been required to engage in “Potty Training”.
This follows the installation of two new Dual Flush Toilets in our home. Okay, so on one toilet, the small button is to be pressed when there’s just a small amount to be flushed. Press the large button for, well, you know. But, on the second toilet, the handle is pulled forward to do what the small button on the first toilet does. And to get the big button result of toilet number one on toilet number two, you push the handle backwards.
In the meantime, you need to hold the respective buttons down and handle positions in place just long enough to get the full effect of the intended flush. Doing so won’t over flush, but not doing so will definitely under flush. Under-flushing results in a less than pleasant surprise for the next visitor and defeats the purpose and investment of a Dual Flush toilet.
So, remember little button or pull forward for small flush; big button or push backward for large flush; hold the press, pull or push action long enough for a proper flush, whether it be large or small.
Phew! Well, now that we’re “Potty Trained” on how to use these new toilets, the next step is to train the kids!

Good goly!! We're still working on the whole flushing bit on the normal toilets! Good luck!
