Maureen Dennis, President/Founder:
Before founding Wee Welcome, Maureen spent seven years with Famous Players, where she started and managed special-audience programming like Famous Babies, Popcorn Parties and Large ‘N’ Live satellite broadcast events.
Maureen was destined to start Wee Welcome. After all, she was at a Jane’s Addiction concert the night before her son Aidan was born. Aidan survived the thumping base-line, and now he’s got a fabulous little sister Kate, who made a speedy appearance on Nov.22, 2005.
Maureen has worked hard to make Wee Welcome the mom-powered organization it is today. Even though conference calls can be a challenge with babes in the background, Maureen is especially proud of her team of Canadian moms on the go.
Jen Love, Regional Sales:
From having a baby and a life to celebrating her adventures in on-the-go parenting, Wee Welcome has been with Jen every step of the way. Wee Welcome is a natural fit for Jen – it combines the energy that she draws from her kids with her passion for marketing and community development. When she's not creating inspired and integrated sponsorship programs for our partners, or finding new and innovative ways to connect new parents across Canada, she is enjoying a busy, active lifestyle in Waterloo with her kids (Mason and Sadie), and their dog, The Dude.
Michelle Paradis, Alberta Representative:
Michelle always knew she wanted 2 kids, 1 girl and 1 boy....She got her wish and only 12 months apart! Before the babies, Michelle was with TD Canada Trust for 7 years. She excelled in providing a comfortable client experience and always offered to help co-workers simplify their work. She planned many events within her branch and lent her hand in community events through TD Canada Trust. During her labour with her daughter Gabrielle born in May 2005 she was proposed to and much to her surprise Christmas 2005 found out she was pregnant again and due the same day as her daughter. A week after Gabrielle's first birthday Korbin was born in May 2006.
A month later they flew to Ontario for a family visit where Michelle was provided a Wee Welcome guide. The idea was fantastic and she knew she needed to bring Wee Welcome to Calgary and Alberta. In 2007 after meeting so many fantastic mom organizations through Wee Welcome, she got married and connected with Salsa Babies and licensed Calgary and surrounding areas to be able to teach new moms how to Salsa Dance. She feels very fortunate to have come into this fabulous mom world at the right time and introduce Alberta and Calgary. Working with both Wee Welcome and Salsa Babies is Michelle's dream as she gets to connect with other women and see babies all the time.
