We had an on the go Thanksgiving Day this year, visiting family and friends. It was exhausting but that's what holidays are for right?!
It was nice to leave the dust and mess of our renovation and sit a real table for dinner, with amazing food, family and friends. Plus I didn't have to cook a thing!
It was super special to spend the best 2 hours we've had in years with our kids' great-papa and to have baby Alia fall asleep in his arms...then nod off himself with her.
It was hard to see my hubby's mum spend the holiday in the hospital with only Jell-O as her Thanksgiving meal, but her spirits were high anyway and the kids were so happy to see her.
It was fun to top off the day with friends and more dessert!
I always find holidays are even more special with a new baby, they just constantly remind you how lucky you are and I find myself being very thankful for that reminder. Life moves pretty fast before you know it you missed it, so thanks a lot to the turkey weekend for slowing us down enough to enjoy the ride with friends and family.
