My favourite item for me was definitely Lily Padz. They are silicone breast/ nipple covers that prevent you from leaking during let down, or any other time. I hated disposable breast pads due to the mess, lumpiness, smell etc.. These also seemed like a good environmental choice as one pair lasted a good 6 months of continuous use. Way sheaper ($20 USD if you order through the States on-line) as compared to buying disposables or even washables.
My favourite item for baby was the open ended night gown. Basically a really long nighty with elastic on the bottom. You had super quick access for middle of the night changes when baby is crying, and you are half asleep and can't possibly master snaps. Flip it up, change, back down and to the breast feeding faster than a Nascar pit crew stop.

My must have is a Baby Bjorn baby carrier. It's very easy to use and mom can free up two hands to carry stuff or work on other things. In winter, I love to carry my baby and then wear my large size down coat with zipper up, that way, I can make sure that she's warm without dressing her up like a robot!

With the cold/flu season coming up, I thought that I would share a handy device that I discovered at the Babytime Show 4 years ago. Little babies and toddlers don't know how to blow their nose and those bulb-style nasal aspirators don't work very well. So, check out this contraption -- Baby-Vac Nasal Aspirator

All you need is the Baby-Vac and your Vacuum to clear their little noses since it provides a continuous suction. Don't worry about the air flow from the vacuum, the device brings the suction down to about the same as you taking a deep breathe. Your babies will thank you after since they can now breathe through their nose. You'll be thankful too since they won't wake you up in the middle of the night crying because they can't breathe.

A sling can not live without it.
I would say for sure it is a must have.
The other must have cleaning lady if you can,
lets you as a new mom rleax more and spend more time with what matters,
your little ones.

My must have is a "Baby Wrapper" towel. It's a towel that ties around your neck so that your hands are free to pick up your baby from the bath and easily cover him or her up and keep them warm for their transport to the change table. I use this every time I bath my 13 month old son.
