I know you are not supposed to mix business with pleasure but honestly that is the best part of running Wee Welcome! I LOVE every part of what I do mostly because of the great people I get to work with and the moms I get to hang out with at events.
This week our friends at Tide invited baby Alia and I to a fashion show with Gymboree at Yonge & Dundas Square in the heart of Toronto. They are celebrating the launch of a great new stain removing product, New Tide Stain Release. It works with your detergent to target and help remove fresh and dried stains the first time. Okay so I hate laundry but I am into keeping my kids stuff looking great, and I'm a big fan of anything that removes baby poop, so off we go.
The fashion show was so cute, I love that these big brands had a kids' fashion show with little kids that totally just did their own thing. One adorable little two year old girl, in the most adorable Gymboree fall outfit, walked beautifully down the runway and just kept going, right off the end! Thankfully it was only a few inches off the ground!
The show was hosted by Project Runway Canada runner-up Jessica Biffi. Jessica also made two outfits just for this show out of old clothes that looked amazing. If there were only more hours in the day to make kids clothes out of their old clothes, but who I am kidding maybe in my next life. For now I will just focus on perfecting my shopping skills and keeping the clothes they have looking their best for the next kid in line, this Tide Stain Release stuff actually works on baby poop stains!
To top off a great morning, Erica Ehm (http://www.yummymummyclub.ca/) and I went for lunch and caught up over a Bellini at Milestones right there at Yonge & Dundas square. We don't get together very often with our busy schedules so this was a real treat.
I was a big fan of drinks at Milestones before babies so it was great to be able to enjoy a grown-up conversation with a cocktail and know that I was welcome to have my baby with me as well. I added this Milestones location to the GO section of WeeWelcome.ca as it is very baby welcoming! The staff was great, and nothing beats catching up with a friend on a patio with an ice cold Bellini. It is also my pick this week as a new expert for Toronto's www.ourfaves.com, check it out! Now that's having a baby and a life!
