Parenting, I've discovered, is all about balance.

Thinking about everything I'm thankful for makes me thankful I'm not blogging about everything I'm thankful for. Two happy and healthy kids. My husband rocks. Amazing family. Fabulous friends. Interesting and dynamic work. I'm a pretty lucky gal.

Sadie looked at me with a uninhibited and head-to-toe-tingling joy that only a 2 year old can really feel and said, "Mommy, I can dwink the wain!". She stuck out her tongue and let the raindrops fall right into her mouth. She was heaven.

Just a few weeks and my 4 year old ("Mummy...I'm 4 1/2!!!") son Mason will be starting JK. He's an active and social kid, so I know he'll fit right in. But I'm a bit beside myself thinking about lunchtime!

I admit it. I'm intimidated by running.

My daughter gives my BlackBerry very stern "time outs". She is 2. Sadie sees me sneaking a peek at my BlackBerry while she's reading a book, playing at the park or chatting with her brother. Mostly she rolls her eyes
